The second Indo Russian Education Summit has commenced in New Delhi, bringing together distinguished dignitaries, senior delegates, policymakers, academic leaders, and institutional representatives from India and the Russian Federation.
Organised by Rus Education in collaboration with Rossotrudnichestvo, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in India, and Russian House, New Delhi, the opening day marked an important step towards strengthening Indo-Russian cooperation in education, research, innovation, academic exchange, and institutional partnerships.
The inaugural session was graced by distinguished Russian delegates from the Russian federation, including H.E. Denis Alipov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of India; Dr. Elena Remizova, Head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in India; Dr. Tatyana Semyenova, Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation; Dr. Pavel Shevtsov, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo; and Ms. Yulia Kondykova, Director, Department of Education, Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
Along with them, the inaugural session was also graced by distinguished Indian delegates from the Indian federation, including Dr. Abhijat Chandrakant Sheth, Chairman, National Medical Commission; Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak, President, Association of Indian Universities; Prof. K.C. Sharma, Chairman, Haryana State Higher Education Council; Dr. Pankaj Mittal, Secretary, Association of Indian Universities; Prof. Gurinder Singh, Vice Chancellor, Amity Education Group; Prof. P.K. Gupta, Founder and Chairman, Sharda Group of Institutions; Prof. V.N. Mahalakshmi, Vice Chancellor, Santosh Deemed to be University; Dr. Mahesh Verma, Vice Chancellor, Indraprastha University; Dr. Vandana Chaudhary, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India; and Air Marshal (Dr.) Pawan Kapoor (Retd.), Vice Chairman, Rus Education.
Day One featured four major panel discussions focused on important areas of Indo-Russian cooperation, including medical education, technical education, artificial intelligence, robotics, aerospace technologies, agriculture, food safety, sports, youth cooperation, and cultural exchange. These discussions encouraged dialogue on student exchange, faculty exchange, joint research, academic partnerships, and long-term institutional collaboration.
The summit also facilitated institutional networking and bilateral engagement between delegates, universities, academic experts, and participating organisations from both countries. These interactions reflected a shared commitment to strengthening educational cooperation, encouraging innovation, and building future-focused academic partnerships.
Speaking on the successful completion of Day One, Air Marshal (Dr.) Pawan Kapoor (Retd.), Vice Chairman, Rus Education, shared:

Dr. Elena Remizova, Head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in India, shared:

The first day concluded with productive exchanges and strategic discussions aimed at advancing educational diplomacy and expanding Indo-Russian collaboration across multiple sectors.
