6 Killed, Dozens Injured at Chicago Parade Shooting

A gunman on a rooftop in a wealthy Highland Park suburb of Chicago opened fire on the Independence Day parade on Monday, July 4th. The shooting took the lives of 6 people while injuring at least 30 others.

Authorities have reported that 22-year-old Robert E Crimo III has been identified as a person of interest and has been taken into custody since Monday evening.

The incident took place at around 10:15 in the morning, shortly after the parade started its course.
